New Facebook to GCal Greasemonkey script
December 11th, 2008 by Strawp
I’ve been using the original Facebook to Google Calendar script since it was first launched but for whatever reason the redesigns of Facebook seemed to run away from the original author and it stopped working properly so I decided to branch my own version.
v1.0.0 is largely untested and in “works for me” stage so try it out and give feedback!
Note that you may need to refresh the event page in order for the script to kick in because of how Facebook now loads pages in using AJAX.

I installed this but not sure how it’s supposed to work. Does it automatically add when I select Attending or do I need to do something extra?

Scott, you should an extra link on the right hand side which says “Add to GCal”. If you don’t, refresh the page. You just click that link and it opens a new GCal event edit page with all the event details pre-filled.

love the script, but i think the new gcal “special features” broke something. the page where i add the event only lists my default calendar in the dropdown. i have to just save and accept it, then only if i go in and edit event details does it show me all my calendars in the dropdown. if this is something on your end, and if you’re swamped show me which part of the code deals with this and i’ll take a gander.
again, this is one of my fave scripts. i use it ALL THE TIME.
you rock.

I see what you mean. A thread just started on the userscripts page, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to fix this: http://userscripts.org/topics/40326
